Always drawn back to the visual arts, Christine moved to Maui in 1995 with her husband, sculptor, Steve Turnbull where he shared a studio with his uncle, Master Sculptor, Bruce Turnbull. Surrounded by sculpture, Christine apprenticed in stone and woodcarving, but was still brought back to her desire to work with clay. Finding a mentor, Christine studied under the tutelage of renowned artist and realist sculptor, Anna Good.
Steve lives on the lush tropical island of Maui where he has his home and studio located on a breathtaking rugged road in the West Maui Mountains. He has transformed his acreage into a studio gallery and sculpture garden. The space and open air concept lends itself to his inspiration and creativity. Commissioned throughout the world to create hotel lobby pieces, filling grand entrances for shopping malls, corporate and small business decor, and many private homes, Steve’s work promises to deliver.
